I am currently a LVN in CA and have been wondering about the online programs that are being offered for LVN to RN or BSN. Are there any fellow nurses out there who have gone through one of these programs or are currently going through it. I am highly interested in these programs but want to be assured that they are legit. Any information is appreciated. Thank you!

I'm so glad that you are getting your BSN. This was my goal too about 25 years ago, but life got in the way and I never finished the programs.
Don't just look at online programs. Many employers will allow you flexibility in your schedule to return to school, especially if you are a good employee for them. State universities are going to be the most affordable, online are often the most expensive. AVOID the for profit schools at all costs. They have very high tuition, low graduation rates, and only care about your money.
Best to you,
Mrs H.
Are all online schools considered for profit schools? I know that going to a traditional college would be the most cost effective but I've tried that road and it wasn't for me. I know student loans aren't the best way to go but I feel more drawn to online schooling. Is that wrong?
I don't know if all online schools are for profit, but many are. Do your own research and get the best education you can for the best price.

if you have the discipline to handle online classes…go for it!
