Hey Everyone. I'm from California & I've been a nurse since 2009 & enjoy it thoroughly. I am, however, ready for a specialty change. Don't get me wrong, I am so thankful for my job and have enjoyed it very much. I am just ready for more of a challenge (I'm currently in a medical clinic and would like to branch out to a hospital). I have heard that the VA is a good place to work. I've done some research but haven't had much luck with any info from 2012. Anyone want to share stories about your experience working for the VA? I'm sure there are other posts on this but I am new to the site and not too sure on how to search for them (and would like some current answers). Thanks for your input &/or advice. I noticed the application process is quite tedious but I don't mind that if the environment is worth it! Please feel free to share anything as far as experiences, fair salary/poor salary, other staff, patients, facilities, equipment, benefits, etc. Thanks all!
