LVN/LPN-RN Clinicals

For those LVN/LPN's out there who bridged into nursing programs how did your clinicals go. Did you still require your instructor hovering over your shoulder for tasks that you are already licensed to do?

The reason I ask is most of my LVN clinical instructors were I don't want to say lack but one they saw you successfully do a task they left you to it. I am anticipating that the school I will be applying to wont be that way but am not sure.

I'm bridging right now and, IMO, the instructors hover waaaay more than they did in PN school. In PN school, we gave meds once with the instructor then were free to give meds with the patient's nurse. In my bridge program, we give meds with the instructor every single time. Procedures are the same way. As far as already being licensed to do these things...in clinicals you are a student nurse, not a LPN.

Thanks that's what I thought. Supervision was very laize faire at my lvn school. I got a lot of hands on experience but low supervision none the less compared to what I heard Rn students go through
