LVN considering reinstatement nervous about job employment

[LVN-ing]

Hello All, 

I’ve had surrendered my LVN license and it has past the 5yrs required to apply for reinstatement. 
 

I loved my nursing job and would love to return, but I am in doubt that I would be able to gain employment, even if, I get my license back. 
 

I applied for my LVN with a prior DUI, and wound up with a second DUI later. Oddly enough my situation had nothing to do with my work, I was never on duty nor drank at my work, was never in uniform. 
 

I’d love it if someone could help me see the clear path of what’s to come. 

Am I doomed still if I get the license back, that no employer would even hire a “criminal”?

Am I better off closing up the past and pursuing other interests? 

How long could this entire process take?
