LTC nurse transitioning to L&D.. any tips?

Hello all!

I am new in this forum and I'm just really happy that I could definitely pursue my dream of being a L&D nurse. I just spoke with the Director of OB and set up a meeting with her and I'm pretty excited. Though, I'm partly anxious and worried about the interview part. I'm a foreign trained nurse from the Philippines with a year hospital experience in OB and wanting to pursue the same here in the US. I started off with LTC in the same facility, unfortunately it wasn't a good fit though I'm still a current employee. I love being around with expectant mothers and babies and being one of the people to witness a baby being born is beyond amazing. So to keep this thread short and sweet, I would like to ask all of you out there on what to expect and what are the common questions being asked during the interview. Should I be dressed on a formal attire or wearing scrubs is acceptable?

Any tips and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
