LPN Wages in Chicago Area

I will be a new graduate LPN and am thinking about moving...but would like to have a good idea about wages in that area.

Also, do the hospitals in that area hire many LPN's? I know here in Wichita, KS most hospitals have an RN preference.

the wages vary depending on where you go in chicago-north vs. south side, suburbs, etc. also, i would agree that there is a preference toward RN's vs. LPN's in the hospital setting. a good idea would be to start logging onto some hospital websites and check the job listings to see if they hire LPN's.
