LPN transitioning to IT

I've been an LPN since 2008 and been thinking about transitioning to IT such as informatics or analyst. 

Any LPNs out there that made this career change that took classes/certifications? If so, which ones? What path did you take to get where you're currently at in the IT world? 

Any advice is appreciated.
