LPN TO ASN IN MASS?

U.S.A. Massachusetts

Published

Does anyone have a list of schools that offer LPN to ASN in massachusetts? Ill be done with my LPN in June, looking to further my education as soon as possible while working full time. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Most of the community colleges in MA offer an LPN to RN bridge program. I would check with whichever CC is closest to you. I know that Mass Bay, QCC, Mt Wachusett all offer the program as does Lawrence Memorial.

Middlesex Community in Lowell and NECCO in Haverhill both have very good LPN to RN programs. But if I were you I'd start applying as soon as possible because these programs, regardless of whatever college you chose to go to, will fill up very quickly. And if you want to further your education as soon as possible you really need to start the process now so you're not lagging behind other applicants. It's a very competitive process. Good luck with picking a school!

I am an ASN student at Lawrence Memorial/Regis College in Medford and there are several LPNs in my class. I think you have to take a test to get out of NU 101 (Fundamentals) and then you take Med/Surg Adult Nursing, Family-Focused Nursing (peds, maternity), and the final class is CCU, ICU, Critical care, etc.

It's a really great program with a great reputation but it's hard to get into. I heard that LPNs have a slight advantage so you have a good chance if did well in LPN school. And they have a "bridge" program if you want to go to Regis College for your BSN and MSN after this.
