lpn schools in connecticut???

:stone Hey I'm having the same problem as you. I actually took the entrace exam at NETI today and am having an admissions interview next week, but $25,000 for an LPN program is RIDICULOUS to me! But, the only other ones are at the voc-tech schools and they've already started for the year. Do they really only start every two years though? Which campus did you visit for NETI? Shelton or Hamden? I'm not really sure what to do at this point. I really want to go for my RN, but have to take a chemistry class and then be put on a huge wait list...

hi all, i am interested in becoming an lpn but around here i can only find tech-vocational schools that offer lpn with new class beginning in august 2007! the only other one i could find was new england tech institute which is $25,000.00 and a half hour away. i also work 40 hours a week and depend on my pay to support my 2 boys so quitting and just going to school is not an option for me. new england tech does have an evening program that lasts 22 months and is 3 nights per week from 5-10 pm. i'm not worried about having enough stamina to attend class after my working hours, i am typically up anyway until 11 pm. i am worried about homework-the school told me to expect 20 hours of study time per week and the class has a online componet that will be 3 hours of work. i guess i'm just stressing but i want to be sure i can do this-i know it won't be easy but i don't want to take out a student loan and not be able to finish if the course is too much to handle. what do you lpn's think?????? is the course that time consuming???

Hey you guys, let me begin by saying good luck in your journey in becoming an LPN. I also live in CT and at my facility, they will PAY full tuition for NETI if you commit to working (I'm not sure) if it's 1 or 2 years after graduation.

Thats right...PAY FOR THE FULL AMOUNT!!!! You have to work as a CNA and what they do, is give you baylor weekends 7-7. You work 16, pay you for 32 and you get the week off to go to school.

I went to a technical school and do agree that $25,000 is too much. I think I paid only alittle under $1000 7 years ago with books and uniforms.

Find out if you already work in facility if they have this program, if you're not a CNA yet, become one (you can generally find a CNA program quickly) and then try to get into a facility that will pay for tuition.

Wow. Would you mind telling us where you work? Sounds like a really good deal. I wonder if there are other programs like this as well. Thanks.

Can't get into specifics, but ask where you work if they have a program like this. From what I understand, alot of facilities have this program. It helps you and it helps them.

No hospitals around me even hire LPNs anymore.
