I have been on the waiting list to be a nurse for two years. I was in the Navy as a hospital Corpsman and got out to complete my nursing school. I have all the preresquites with a 3.9 GPA. People with no medical experience are getting into the field and then hating it after they get the degree. I heard that ecpi is real expensive but there is no waiting list. I always wanted to be a RN. I know that there is a difference but this is a stepping stone to get where i can be without years of waiting. Is ECPI really expensive and is the program there just as good as a community college?

Yep it is pricey, when I went it was 25,000 now I hear it was more. I dont know if its better than a community college LPN program, but I do know that I went and I am now a LPN. I was in the same situation as you, I applied to different programs but the waiting list was so long. I applied there and got right in. Go for it. It is a stepping stone as you stated and you have to start somewhere. Goodluck!
