lpn program thus far 2 weeks in

Hi everyone !

I just wanted to post my progress, so far in my 15month lpn program. Well I must say it's harder than I had thought. The first week of school was so easy for me. It was just basic review of math and science that you may have learned in high school. But it seem like week 2 they were piling on the homework, and quizzes. I did poorly on my first quiz in English because I was so unorganized, and spent so much of my time studying on one subject and didn't realized I had a quiz on another:eek:!!!! But I'm doing well in my other classes. I just take this as a lesson learned and I'll do better next time, and get myself organized and in the swing of things:up: and for you nurses out there who are well organized. I would love sum advice:)

I know how you feel. I graduated in June from a very excelerated 1 year LVN program, here in CA, and just found out a couple weeks ago that I passed the boards =) CALENDAR. Have a monthly calendar for the year and write down when your tests are, when projects are due, clinicals, and parties/events you need to attend. This way it'll help you to stay organized. I also wrote down my grade for EVERYTHING (exams, homework, assignments, etc.), so that I always knew where I was standing in class. RELAX. FOCUS. And study hard. It'll be over before you know it and all of this hard work will be such an accomplishment. Best of luck to you!
