LPN Organizations/Nursing Journals

Good morning all-

I have read that getting involved with local/national LPN organizations are a plus - I have only found one organization for LPN's when I googled it - does anyone have any experience with this?

Also - what about nursing journal's? That is something else I have seen as a way to get involved in the community/stay up to date on things. Are these mostly geared towards RN's? As you can see, I am pretty excited about being a new LPN and I want to start out on the right foot. :)

I am just starting out at a nursing home right now and ideally would like to start getting involved in Hospice in the future - any suggestions on how to do this? Does being involved in an organization help? Thanks for your input!
