LPN jobs in Kalamazoo

I have a question for anyone in or around the K-zoo area. I am an LPN, currently living and working in Ohio, who plans on moving to Kalamazoo in September. I am also in school, working towards my RN, and plan to continue my education in Michigan. What types of jobs are available for LPN's in the K-zoo area? I've looked at the local newspaper, without any luck, but I also know that all jobs aren't necessarily in the paper. I have numerous years of expierence in MR/DD nursing, with Supervisory expierence included, as well as skilled nursing care. Currently, I am working using my Independant Provider number, where I provide PDN for an individual with a wavier. My ability to find a job will be a factor in my moving. I have family in the area, but they are not connected with the nursing community in any way, and can't really help me out. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks...Kim

Have you tried mlive.com? This is where I go to look for current job postings. Other then this I have no other ideas, jobs around here are hard to come by is what I hear. I live in West Michigan but I don't know K-zoo area. There is a lot of job posting for Grand Rapids on mlive. You have six months until you are planning on moving so who know what is be available between now and then.

I live near Kalamazoo, and most (but not all) of the nursing openings (RN and LPN) are in LTC facilities. Careerbuilder.com is also a good website for jobs in this area.
