LPN interview

Published

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this site have found lots of great info so far . I just applied to TECO in Kissimmee,FL and will have an interview in May. Can someone from a recent or current class tell me some of the questions asked in the interview ?

Also, if accepted I will be driving about 30 miles one way to get to TECO. Anyone else in this situation and if so, how do you manage it ?

Thank you.

Just now seeing your post. How did your interview go??

Val

Hi Val,

The interview was quick & I was nervous but I am very excited to tell you that I got my letter of acceptance in the mail yesterday !!! YAY !!!

Hello,

I was also accepted into the TECO lpn program starting in August 2011, my interview was quick as well and i actually left disappointed because i thought i wouldn't get in! does anyone know how many people are usually accepted into the program and also when they say 0730-1430 hours do they usually go over the allotted lecture time?

I have orientation on July 12th, i'm actually paying out of pocket and wanted to what kind of upfront expenses i might be facing. Also, are clinicals incorporated within the five day school week? lol i know i have so many questions! i greatly appreciate your help in advance.

Congratulations!! :D I am in the day class that graduates next month. :yeah:

Lectures typically end by 2:00. I can't think of any day that we have left later than 5 past.

Clinicals are during the week. Normally on Thurs and Fri until the last couple of months of school. However they start at 6:30.

You will start nursing home clinicals about 6 weeks into the program. They end at 1:30. They are at Avante and Osceola Health, both in St. Cloud.

The second set of clinicals is at the hospital and are from 6:30-3:30 on Thurs/Fri. You will be at Osceola Reg. or St. Cloud hosp.

As far as expenses, in addition to tuition and books, you will also need white scrubs for clinicals and a white "cobbler" (kind of an apron with huge pockets) cobbler costs about $25. You will have to buy a nurse kit which was about $75. You will need a watch, stethoscope and BP cuff.

I hope this helps answer some of your questions.

Please feel free to contact me any time if I can answer any more questions or help in any way.

Best of luck!!!

Val Donovan
