Why was my career as an er nurse different than an RNs? When we did the same job. Yes they had to do assessments and do care plans. There has been times when I had to do l assessments and care plans for patients that were admitted to the units and had no bed available. Was my position less or more taxing than a med-surg RN??

I had to deal with the same likes an RN had to deal with . The plan of care remained the same from patient to patient. Whether the patient had sickle cell or intoxication . I dealt with the same.

I am aware of the differences in education and the fact that an RN is considered a profession whereas an LPN is considered a practice? Never diminishing either. However my position was taxing as an ER nurse
