Hi Dave,
I have been researching similar options for months. From what i have found, Excelsior and ISU (Indiana State) are the only two that can be completed almost entirely at a distance. NDSU has an LPN-BSN option but appears to require at least a few weeks in the Fargo area which may or may not work for any particular student. The Excelsior CPNE (clinical exam) sounds very intimidating but the ISU program is a lot longer - and, I am given to believe, a lot more expensive. I am leaning toward Excelsior. There are LPN-RN (ADN) programs in my region but they are very competitive to get into, expensive and long. Between prerequisites, wait periods and the program itself, it would take me 4-5 years to get through one - plus they want to you to quit work while you attend (although people in some programs work at least part time if they have flexible employment). As a "mid-career" adult with no one supporting me, this is not really feasible for me. Would love to hear about any options out there, others' decision making process. Thanks and good luck!

Just graduated from a local community college here on Oahu (Hawaii) and will be taking my LPN boards next month. I would like to continue on to get my RN on line then get my BSN at UH Manoa. I heard Excelsior was a good school are there others out there I should also look at. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
