Looking to find refresher RN course

Nurses Retired

Published

Hi, I'm new here today. I have been out of the hospital setting for about 15 years. I did work in catastrophic case management and life care planning in my own business. Now I'm looking to get back into the hospital setting and need a refresher course. I am in Butler, PA, just north of Pittsburgh. Does anyone know where I could look to find these classes? Any help would be appreciated!

I just googled it quickly and it looks like CCAC and Pitt both have refresher classes.

Good luck! :) I graduated from Pitt's School of Nursing in 94. I haven't worked in 8 years, and am hoping to go back to work this fall. I live in Virginia now, and am starting a refresher course here in two weeks! :)

Specializes in behavioral health.

Yes, please check out CCAC. I just called to register today, and they told me they only have five students so far. It is just so strange that I saw your post. I was just thinking about advertising for students to sign up for this course. I was all excited about returning for refresher course, but I believe they need five more students to have the class. Orientation is on Sept. 3rd. And classes start on the 22nd and go through Dec.4. Clinicals are scheduled for Mon. and Tues. 7-3:30. Classes are on Wed. and Thurs. from 9-1:00. The number is 412-394-6903.
