I do not believe there are any online LPN classes in Florida.
Here is a link to the approved programs in Florida http://flahec.org/hlthcareers/lpn.htm
I attended TECO in Kissimmee. They usually do not have a waiting list for the LPN program, unlike Travis Career Center in Lakeland, or Ridge Career Center in Winter Haven.

The LPN program is very challenging. I couldn't imagine trying to complete it online. My classmates and I supported each other throughout the entire program. Sure, we all had our own little "groups" outside of class...but we always worked together in the program.
Once you become an LPN, there are online programs to bridge over to RN, however.
Hope this helps. ood luck !
Thank you for your input, upon reading the link you sent, I noticed that it said that the Hospitals can help you to take your LPN exam, do you have any idea if the Hospital has to be a teaching facility. Lisa:nurse:

Traviss Career Center in Lakeland doesn't have a waiting list. They accept students based on a point system twice a year, July and December. Most hospitals in the area have tuition assitance depending on what degree you are pursuing. Not sure about Lake Wales, but Lakeland Regional will sometimes hire non-ceritifed PCA's and after a certain time-frame will pay for additional education to become certified. They pay your hourly rate plus tuition costs, but instead of working, you are in class.
Thank for your reply, Only problem with LRMC is that I am 45 min away, I am in Lake Wales, you are all so helpful on this website thanks so much. ANd my Hubby of 37 years is term ill and I am the only one working,he waiting on ss,he may pass before that kicks in.
Sorry about being incorrect the wait list.
TECO doesnt even go on the point system. If you qualify, and pass the interview, you are accepted.

IMO Traviss is a little too easy to get in to. No interview, no pre-reqs...as long as you score appropriately on the TABE and have all your paperwork in order, you'll be accepted. But every school is different! jburkeg, sorry to hear about your husband, online classes would definitely be beneficial for you. Good luck!
