So I was told that the only difference between the generic and the absn is that the absn students will graduate in the Fall and the generic will graduate the following Spring, so as far as the time frame the difference is only a few months. I've decided to go there since I haven't heard back from other programs
are you going?

I am still thinking about it, I applied to Pace but still no application update and it's already August. The only issue now are the private loans I'll have to take out. What is your current situation in all of this?

They can clarify how many semesters you'd actually need to finish. Have you asked if they allow you to transfer directly into the nursing sequence without retaking extra credits?
Yeah I was able to transfer into the nursing sequence. So all of my classes are strictly the nursing courses. Did you or are you attending this school ?

Hi all ,
I haven't seen any recent forums about Long Island University's ( Brooklyn campus) accelerated/generic program for nursing. I have been accepted to the generic BS program which is 4 semesters. I initially applied for the accelerated program however I was told I did not meet the GPA requirements. Anyone else applied for the Fall 2025 absn and got accepted to the generic program instead? or in the past? what happened and did you go attend the program? I am just trying to weigh out my options. I was looking at the curriculum for the program and it's about 122 credits, with 60 something credits being the general courses and 59 credits of the actual nursing courses. I have completed all of the general courses that I see on their website, I am going to set up an appointment to speak with an admissions counselor there.
Anyone else going through this?
