In 2018 I had a complaint filed against my RN license here in California. At that time
I had practiced 30 years in nursing. This was a malicious complaint, but I was disciplined and placed on probation for 3 years beginning October 2020. My probation should have ended October 2023. I did hire an attorney that specializes in helping medical professionals retain their licenses. The California Board of Registered Nursing has been a very tough, unresponsive entity to deal with. I was able to provide proof of defunct e-mail addresses and websites, expired courses. The probation monitor is a very rude individual and this individual was derelict in his duties as well. I sadly did not complete all of my courses on time the first time. My license was set to be revoked but in the 11th hour, my probation was extended until November of 2025. I had to take at my expense - AGAIN courses that The Board of Registered Nursing in California had set forth. I STILL encountered difficulties with some of the websites being defunct and non-responsive. This time, I DID meet the deadline however not completing a few minor courses for the above-mentioned reasons. All I want to do is get off probation this November. I am then thinking of consulting a Torts Attorney on the matter and doing a civil lawsuit against The Board because for them being supposedly the premier agency to monitor nurses and protect the public, they have been very derelict in providing updated and current websites. I NEVER have wanted to play the victim ever but this whole situation has been VERY wrong. Please advise. Thanks for all everyone is doing out there.
