Lonestar Tomball Fall 2010

Published

New to allnurses.com and just wanted to start a post for those attending Tomballs, ADN program in the Fall 2010. I don't see much info on Tomballs nursing program, but I hope that others out there will post some relavent info for those of us just starting. I would love to hear about the best stethoscope to buy, or where to buy the cheapest books. What books are great, or which textbooks weren't worth buying. Any tidbit would be great!:nurse:

I graduated from Tomball in 2008. :nurse: It was defenitely a different experience. We were going through a lot of growing pains at the time to put it nicely. Even with all of the craziness though I felt prepaired espically with clinicals. Do you know who is still teaching there I can give some pointes if I know who is there. Good luck. As far as cheap books I bought mine from the school and I know they have all changed since then. You can try half.com for books or amazon. The best stethesopes are the Littman sereis, any one works just fine. my suggestion is to ask if you can listen to them in the store before you purchase. Again good luck and let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Thanks for the reply. I do have to say that orientation was great, and I love the new director.

I hope you have a great 2 years.

Does anyone know the cutoff to get in at Tomball?
