Lone Star Fall 2017 ADN Hopefuls

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi y'all! Ive been looking for a post for Fall 2017 Hopefuls and haven't found any yet so I decided to go ahead & start one.

I will be applying for Fall 2017 LVN and ADN program. I have a C in Engl 1301, B in A&P I, and a C in A&P II. I am retaking the Hesi on Jan 19, passed every section except A&P. If I do not get accepted into either program, I will consider retaking A&P II.

Hello @futurernmelanie you should try the Hesi A2 app, I used this app and scored a 96 on the A&P section of the Hesi.... I seen on previous post that's what you were struggling with.

Sad part is, I used that app and still didn't pass! But, I also didn't really study as much as I should have so that played a part in me failing as well. This time I plan to study for at least a month with the app, Hesi book, cliffs notes, and khan academy. Thanks for the tip!

I have a score of 7.55 & would like to get into Montgomery Campus. This was my second time taking the hesi. I don't want to try and retake & score lower. I've seen other posts where Montgomery's scores are almost an 8! I thought my score wasn't high enough last time and I see people got in with scores 7.1-7.2 .

I think you have a pretty good chance of getting in. Goodluck!

I am applying for Fall 2017 ADN and LVN programs. I currently have 6.88 and I am really hopeful that I will be the lucky person to get in. My dream is to become a nurse and I can't wait to get accepted into my first campus of choice-North Harris.

Don't get discouraged @FutureRNMelanie, I know how you feel. I myself was going insane before I took the exam. I was afraid I am not going to pass, and the fact that one has to wait 60 days before retaking the exam made me more anxious. My advice to You is study non stop, and read every section from the anatomy and physiology section from HESI book. Your goal is to pass and pass with high score. I have been studying for 2 months for the HESI exam and passed. I missed only 2 questions in anatomy. The Evolve review book really helped me a lot, and I felt like almost all of the questions were from the book.I really hope you will get into the program and your hard work and yr efforts will be paid off. I wish you best of luck :)

Thank you so much for your advice and words of encouragement; I really appreciate it. I am hoping and praying that I get accepted with the scores I currently have. If not, I will either retake the HESI and/or retake a few classes to raise my chances of getting into the program. I wish you the best of luck as well, I'm sure you'll have no problems getting in.

I applied today with a 7.68, and 940 on the CT. My first choice is Tomball then North Harris. I'm hoping that is enough because my A&P score on the HESI was only an 80, but my overall was a 92.
