Lone star college- ADN- transfer to RN TO BSN

Hello, I'm a high school student and I have to figure out what I want to do to get my BSN. (I'm 18 I'm graduating this year)

I'm definitely going to Lone Star College. I have some credits already so hopefully I get the rest of my basics less than 2 years.

Which route is best?

1. Once I finish my basics; Should I get my Associates Degree in Nursing at Lone Star (2 years?) then transfer to University of Houston to do the RN to BSN program (1 year)?

Or

2. Once I'm done doing all my basics; I just transfer to the University of Houston and do the Nursing program they offer?

I don't know what's the best route to take. And I would like to hear some advice or experience how you guys got through school and how long it took exactly.

Honestly it depends on what you want to do and how long you want to take. Do you want to get your ADN and work then do the online program or at a University? Or do you want to go straight into a BSN program?

Really up to you on how and where you want to go. But in my opinion, if I were you, I would suggest to just go straight to BSN since you are young. Take your pre-reqs then apply to a university of your choice. I would research some more options other than U of H, as well. There are other universities in Houston that offer the BSN program. You don't want to apply to just one, that way you can get accepted to multiple! :)

I took the longer route just because I didn't know what I wanted to do so I kept changing my major and I have kids lol. Should have been a nurse by now :/ But as long as I get there
