Lives that were saved by nurses

Dr. Laura Gasparis Vonfrolio RN, PhD a well known speaker and creator of CEN and CCRN review videos said that she wanted to take a one page add in the newspaper about nurses who through either critical or quick thinking, or by saving a doctor from making a colossal mistake have literally saved a patient from either dieing or being critically injured. She felt She believes there are so many nurses who have saved a life and gotten no recognition for it and feels they should. So I thought we should do some shout outs here. It can be about you or someone you know. It could be anything, preventing a major fall, something simple like preventing a major medical error that could have killed someone, like stopping a resident from giving a patient adenosine with WPW or figuring out a diagnosis that an MD missed. It could even be about something that happened outside the hospital as well. So here is your chance to shout out and pat yourself on the back.
