liu vs city teh?

i just finished high school and want to become a nurse, but im a little lost as to what i need to do now...which school is easier to get into and get my degree from, liu or city tech? also does anyone know the preq for liu so that i wont have to take them and just focus on the nursing classes? and for city tech aswell? thanks in advance

First of all you should know that LIU is a 4 year degree (Bachelors) while City Tech is a 2 year degree (Associates) . LIU is also about 4x as expensive as City Tech because it's a private college but easier to get into. Also, you can't just take pre-reqs at LIU, you have to finish all college requirements before you can even start nursing courses.

For LIU these are the classes you have to take BEFORE starting nursing classes

Biology 3 & 4

Chemistry 3x & 4x

Math 16

Math 100

English 16

Core Seminar

English 61 or 62

English 63 or 64

Philosophy I & II

History I & II

Speech 3

Psychology 3

Developmental Psychology

Human Anatomy

Human Physiology

Microbiology

Sociology 3

So you need to do these 21 classes first. Which will take you about 2 1/2 years to complete before you even think about nursing courses.
