I have applied for a nursing program in Illinois but will not be entering for a year or two. I would like to take some evening classes that will help me or give me a "head start" in the nursing field. If anyone has suggestions, that would be helpful. Even general class recommendations will help as I have been out of school for awhile.
Also, if there are reference books or study guides/tools that I could read on my own that would be helpful, please let me know.
Thank you!

Just curious, are there any corequisites you can take while you wait? Take a look at the nursing schedule for what the students take each quarter, they may be classes there that you can take where you do not have to be enrolled in the program to get in. Also, if there are, some of those may have prereqs that you'll need.
What prereqs did you already take to get into the program? That will help with suggestions. Another idea, meet with a counselor and ask them what they recommend.
Good luck to you!
