After much research on where to obtain my MSN, I stumbled upon Liberty University. The school offers an online MSN in nurse education that is quite affordable, and the curriculim sounds challenging and comparable to other MSN programs. Has anyone ever received their MSN from Liberty University, or known someone that has received their MSN from this school? How did they like it, and did they feel they received a well rounded education that is well respected by future employers?

I am currently enrolled in LU MSN online. I am in my second Track Course (Clinical). If all goes well I will graduate in May 2010. I stated out MSNEd but d/y job changes switched to CNS.. I LOVE the program. The professors are good overall with quite a few being GREAT! Taylor and Sprear come to mind, right away but all have been more helpful as online than any of my BSN professors in a brick and mortar program. The classes are challenging AND VERY TIME CONSUMING! I work fulltime, but it has been do-able.
Give them a call and see for yourself. As a full time nurse there are alot of FA out there but they where able to find me some $$ as well!
Best of Luck!
How many hours a week do you usually put in towards your studies a week? How is Advanced pharm, assessment, and patho online? Im a lil nervous about those! Also if I take 1 class every 8 weeks how long will it take for me to complete my degree. Also do we get a week off after 16 weeeks, and do we get a christmas break and spring break?
I spend about 2-3 hour per day M-F, much longer on weekends, for research time for projects and such..... All three are very do-able. Pharm and A&P (for my classes) covered cases studies r/t a dx.
Assessment was more time consuming d/t clinical.
I started in fall 2007 and will finish in spring 2010, for the most part I did 8 week courses. between the courses I believe it is about a week off...It is all a blur now. I did take a Summer break 4 weeks that first year. Your track course will be 16 weeks each. This track ends Sunday and I will not go back to class until after the new year. I forget the date...about the 2nd week sometime. I believe a fair break.. I'm very ready to finish.....
Best of luck!

I plan to apply for the MSN in Nursing Education. I spoke with them today. This school is very military friendly a + for me. I was disappointed they ended there Adult Acute Care CNS program which I was very interested in but I noticed the classes are still taught at the school. I just have to speak with the nursing director for the course. I haven’t been contacted yet. I’m a little nerves going to an online school I’ve never done this before. Can any one recently describe their experience with the school’s program? I will appreciate it.
