Lets talk about Emergency nurse job

I think it varies somewhat from hospital to hospital based on leadership, but ER nurses are not treated any differently that any other nurses in the facility. ER is the only department that can never close (except maybe OB, never know when those babies will come) because we are full. Med surg floors may fill up to capacity, but we just keep adding hall beds, and chairs, and leave people in the waiting rooms.

That said, we have to staff based on what might come through the door. So, sometimes you may be very slow and people are sitting around a while, but usually that is not the issue. Some people in management don't like the idea of nurses sitting around, but then those same managers don't find us extra help when we are slammed either, so it all works out.

ER nursing is a very interesting specialty, as you never know what is going to come through the door, or what people can do to each other and themselves. But it keeps things from ever getting routine!

I understand you at all but, is amazing seeing ER running around helping people on different fields and other nurses from other departments sitting around having fun,and treatment is the same.

I may country is very difficult working as a ER coz people are still frustrating after the war time so they thinking that ER cane do everything also working as a gynecological nurse is really stupid, we are bitting by the people every day it happen that one ER staff is injured by the others.

I don't know where is the problem to outsiders or to the management who never understands a ER work coz they never work on that department:sniff::zzzzz

I can't even begin to imagine what you and your people have been through. I am sure the emotional strain was enormous, and the scars are still fresh. When people are desparate, they reach out to anyone who may be available to help them. ER is the first place they go and the ER staff are the first people they see, so I can understanding their frustration, and I can really understand yours! You are trying to help, and are getting a fight for your trouble.

Thanks a lot for you moral support I know that nobody cane help as for moment hope that in the future things will going to be quite and easy.

We confidences that may people suffer a lot, we understand them as a medical staff we are not angry with them we are so disappointed with our government coz the medical staff specialy ER members are the last hand to think about which is amazing.

We just hope that on the future will be more better and easy working days
