LEHMAN College HESI EXAM 2016

I wrote this, so other students who are apply to Lehman nursing program can relax or have a better idea what to study. I'm going to be honest and helpful as much as I can.

I took my hesi exam. I did average. MATH-82, A&P-84, READING COMPREHENTION -88 AND CRITICAL THINKING 830. Passing for lehman is 75. MY science GPA is like a 3.8. I'm going to break down each part.

First thing I'm going to say is the book is of no help. Elsevier. For Math its perfect. But nothing else. U will Fail A&P IF U DEPEND ONLY ON THAT BOOK. TAKE MY ADVISE. BUY THE Cliffnotes A&P quick review and the McGraw Hill hesi A2. These two books will help u tremendously. The Elsevier is just to guide u and u will see that 50% of things that's not in the book in the exam. (EAMPLE, the structure of the ear.) EX. of question on A&P was epinephrine, serotonin, bones in the ears, artery in the Knee, blood flow in the heart. DO NOT STUDY LIGHTLY STUDY EVERY TOPIC THATS IN THE BOOK. KNOW EVERY GLANDS AND HORMONES. TEMPORAL LOBES, MEIOSIS, BODY PLANES AND ETC. KNOW UR MUSCLES AND BONES!!!!!!! Reading comprehension will exhaust u. but believe me the McGraw hill book is loaded with practice. Use time management. Read question first and do read everything. Maths know ur conversions inside out. Critical thinking.... WOW. I was lucky to past because I work as a nursing assistant. They ask u question like if u have a blind patient who wants to get out of bed and patient who is asthmatic that was in the bathroom for 30 mins who would u help first or if a patient come in to the hospital with a lot of money would u take it from him and put it up or would u ask a family member to take it home? etc.

The prometic site that the exam is done is really nice. 4hrs. but don't underestimate that 4hrs cause it goes in the blink of an eye. My advice study at least a 2 months before. serious studying. I hope I shed a little light on the Hesi for u guys. I wrote this because when I was taking Hesi I couldn't find no real information for myself. So again, the maths is basic but a&p gets hard every year so study!! good Luck.
