I am looking for some extra work as an LPN and I have come across plenty of ads on craigslist etc for nurses to do vaccination clinics and health screenings. I am wondering what are some legit companies to work for for this sort of job?I guess I just dont trust things posted on the internet. They require a SSN which I'm leary or giving to a company I have never heard of. Does anyone in Ohio work for such a place or can reccomend one? I live in SW ohio if that makes a difference. Thanks!

DO NOT give your SSN or a resume w/your name, address, phone on CraigsList.
If you want to do shot clinics, list with an agency. They do clinics for city health and schools. The CraigsList stuff is, for the most part, NOT entirely legit if they want your SSN. You provide your SSN on the W-9 tax form. You provide your nursing license number when you provide your Driver's License & SSN card for the business to xerox prior to your drug test.
DO NOT PUT YOUR SSN ON CRAIGSLIST. Unless, of course, you are wanting to kiss it goodbye! To find out "who" does shot clinics, call any school, city health clinic, or Walgreen's/Walmart & ask what agency they use for their vaccination clinic. Go forward from there. Best of luck to you! I've worked 3 flu shot clinics - boatloads of fun, simple work, good pay. Only downside was it that it was a one day event each time.
