Hi everyone!
In my program, after the third of four semesters, one can sit for the NCLEX-PN exam to obtain licensure as an LPN. I had planned to do that this month, but family emergency happened and I had to use the money I'd saved up for the exam on something else.
I was wondering tho, about the limited permit. I know that when I graduate w/ my AAS, I can legally work as a GN under the supervision of an RN, for a specific time period (90 days?) until I take and pass my NCLEX. And I believe that if I obtain a limited permit, I can work as a GN for a year.
Would that apply to me now, as I finish my final semester? Can I work as a GPN with a limited permit as I finish my fourth semester?
I';m in NYS if that helps.
Thanks!

Your State Board of Nursing would be the one to ask.
