Hi there
I was hoping I could get some assistance for an assignment, as to what topics I could use related to legal and ethical issues in childbearing families?
thanks

who has custody? What if the Mom is unmarried and underage and the child is ill? What if the parents are unmarried and not living together but there is no official court paper declaring custody? What situations could arise? Believe me, the ED nurses have run into this lots of times.

Informed consent/choice
Risk during pregnancy and birth (i.e whose risk, who defines it, who owns it)
Routine infant circumcision, male or female, though I think the current preferred term for women is 'female genital cutting,' as it is broader and includes more procedures than just 'circumcision' which would be removal of the clitoral hood.
Thank you to everyone who answered it was very helpful to get your help, thank you so much
All the best to you all
