Left Northern Cali RN program with one semester left, any advice?

I was an LVN to RN bridge student with one semester left when I had to withdrawal for personal reasons. I left on good terms and had planned on returning the following year to finish fourth semester.

The director of the program said that I needed to pass the re-entry exams in order to pick up where I left off. I passed one exam with flying colors but missed the second by one point. I was told that this was my last shot, and to try other schools.

I was devastated because i had been so close to finishing. After several unsuccessful meetings with the director of the program, I decided to move up the chain of command. I wrote an appeal letter and sat through many meetings with the faculty.

Those attempts led nowhere, and I was told multiple times that my only other option was to attend a different program.

Now that I have come to terms with the fact that I won't be able to finish school where I started, I am left to wonder what options, if any, are available to me.

At our final meeting, the director informed me that transferring into another program's final semester may be an option.

I am curious to know if anyone out there has transfered from one program to another, or know someone that has. In my opinion, I was treated unfairly in this situation, so starting another bridge program from the beginning just doesn't sit well with me.

I have one semester left. Is there anyone out there who has been in a similar situation, and if so, can you offer any advice, or tell me it it worked out for you? This past year has been very difficult for me, so I am hoping for some good news. Thanks in advance!
