Leaving healthcare

Yesterday was my first shift working in a completely new lifestyle my uniform is a black polo shirt, black combat pants, black boots with a baseball cap. For several hours until my post it had to not think about the work I was about to do for I was afraid I would talk myself out of it! My partnership isn’t perfect however days like this make me feel proud that he understands me and gets me he didn’t make me feel less than a woman and actually really assured me that I look great in the new uniform. It’s so bizarre to me because I have never tried to be good at anything past taking care of people. With covid and my battling pills he understands the importance of mental stability and being able to not relapse doing this yesterday is far from my dream job however I felt a big response from the shock of seeing how others viewed me it demands some new found respect and feeling good again. Sometimes things like this is all we need to validate we are all more than what we know. Who knows where this may land maybe a job within the law enforcement or otherwise we all know we need better caring people who can see the difference between a mental health person versus a criminal. Just taking one day at a time we shall see what adventures tonite brings

I don't understand what your job is, and I don't understand the title of this thread. Are you planning on leaving healthcare or have you just started a new healthcare job? Are you going to apply for a job in law enforcement, like in a healthcare setting in a jail, or as an officer there?

It's not just your lack of punctuation, but seeming to skip from one subject to another that makes it hard to follow. I feel like you leave out some thoughts between subjects, which  might connect the dots for us, because I just can't get a sense of who you are or what you are doing. Maybe if you can't do punctuation so well, you could separate subjects with a space

like this.

Anyway, best of luck with whatever 'adventures' you are anticipating tonight.

I'm sorry you are feeling 'pushed out', but when I read your posts I don't understand what you are trying to say, so I don't know how to respond.

It’s not anything to do with nursing. I am now working as armed security ? and. yes I know my sentences tend to run off grid. Thanks for correcting for me. I will be more alert on this

First post was pretty dull and boring. Lots of down time. I’m the person guarding buildings not people. The job is not to interact or be there to overpower people. However many people are blind to common sense so seeing things in a way I do may help me to being aware of threatening situations or people that may be looking for trouble. The area is busy and last night many drunk drivers so the most action seen was a small car running into a van and kept going. Happened so fast literally so it just kept me on my toes for the future although don’t really see anyway personally could have prevented this. Nobody was hurt so overall that’s the priority safety.

Also this is something new and different my passion is science and I have history in nursing support so maybe can’t say it’s for good but a change or shift from what I have been doing since forever. This is an experiment to see what other options are there as we need good nurses. We also need good women who are not afraid to push barriers in other male dominated fields. Have you ever met an older woman who was proud to tell you she was the first woman to......through my history of taking care of some interesting patients met a woman who was the first to climb Mt Reiner in Washington State she say” she ice-picked” the entire mountain. Things that make us feel good strong empowered.

Went by the bosses office he told me to pickup the jacket missing from my uniform and boy did I need it. It gets chilly at night and yesterday has that strange feeling in my throat symptoms like the monkey pox but it’s just from washing my hair leaving it wet and so on it’s went away now. When I peaked in saw the bosses daughter that was a pleasant surprise she is one tough lady and no nonsense. If your 5 minutes late she is cut and dry she needs I’ll say things alike we’re done and it’s like slo mo! Her dad is so proud as he boasts that the sons always are bums beggin for more money screams they will get the money when I’m dead! While she is like this Italian princess can’t do nuttin wrong and she has grown to make something of herself she has rose to the CEO of this worldwide company I thought he was kidding me and when he laughed jokingly as he boasted that she would be arriving today. He says “She runs blah Blah Blah ? I looked off like he is loosing it!! Instead I was shook he wasn’t joking he said it laughing but instead he spoke truth she is the CEO why do U get to meet her? None the less I’m still humble don’t say much Dint get me wrong she is beautiful as he always bragged she was on the cover of Womens World Daily again I thought she was some famous model like Sophia Richie or something but to know know she runs the fashion house is impressive. She asked me to drive her to Costco and we take the Poodles pick up food and in the car her attitude shifts wow did I read her wrong she doesn’t just have the title CEO she is the owner revealed she own 2 percent it’s super impressive although I’m not good at math percentages never could understand this sorta thing being that like OK most of the tribal casino you have to be 1/8 go inherent the revenues or whatever so again it’s something never really understood what percentage is? Never makes any sense?% 50/50 is easy to get but breaking other things into these like small pie graphs are very complicated for me to comprehend. Thank goodness for calculators

I had an instructor who always wanted to describe things in percentages, and she insisted on drawing it out in pie shapes. I told her "I can't think in terms of pie wedges! Can't you explain it in terms of dollars and cents? I can divide money, but pie charts don't make any sense to me." And if something is, say, "One half of one percent"....? Forget it! I mean, I realize that 1/2 of 1% is not a large amount, but that's all I know. I suppose it would help (hahaha) to know what the total amount is if I'm trying to figure it out, but It's something I don't HAVE TO know NOW, so PHOOEY!

PS: Monkey Pox!?? YIKES! Glad it wasn't that!

Today feeling off balanced gonna make a drop into the IV drip lab get a Myers drip ? hope makes me feel better! They are very popular here in California although when I would have my arm with the bandage gauze people would ask me did I give blood? And the people from other states had never heard of such a place. We actually have to many of them but the concept works well for me I don’t know if it’s mental but it gets me that recharge feeling and to this date never had covid or any other diseases not even the ?

I've heard of Oxygen Bars, but I have never heard of Myers Drip. What is it, a walk-in place where you can say, "Gimme a Drip, please." What's in it? Is it expensive? Do tell!

Heard first the concept from a  pretty Filipina trans nurse who befriended worked alongside at one of those nursing homes one day she says” I’m out. Visual like popping her booty to the ground ...celebrating! “I was like “take me?where are you leaving to? “She says she was going to work under a doctor for this”clinic” Sworn they had been doing these drips for years and seeing first hand results from some of the other procedures done overseas. It’s exactly like you would imagine but the place is inviting calm spa like. Like anything else the come on is to get you in the dooor then up sell you! They make house calls but the clinics clean! Nobody coughing in the waiting areas none that so sterile It has to be completely covered in plastic and nothing unprotected if imma be sitting and getting serviced so yes it is what U say above nothing weird

Pricing is average I don’t like to talk sound privileged it is affordable

I figured it was like a clinic. Wasn't thinking it was weird, because, after all, it IS in California! It would be weird here in North Carolina, though!
