I am a final year learning disability nurse/social worker in the UK and will graduate in August 2006 (thankfully!). I used to live in NZ a few years ago and my intention has always been to move back permanently on qualifying, but I am unsure of how to go about this and what the best course of action would be. If anyone can help me out with as mush information as possible I would be so grateful!

I am looking to move back to Auckland. I would prefer to have permanent residency status, but am not sure whether this is possible straight away or whether it would be easier to get a work-to-permit visa and apply for residency after having been in NZ for a while? Also - where are the best places to work in or around Auckland learning disability services-wise? I obviously want to work for the most forward-thinking service. Is it best to go through an agency to find me work before leaving the UK and if so what egencies are available?

I have so many questions! Thanks for taking the time to reply!
