Hello...... I am a new educator and I need to update the P&P manual. Is there some examples out there on what MUST be included. PS this is a small rural hospital with all level I- no high risk stuff. Thanks in advance.

AWHONN has a nice little policy template you can order from them. I don't know if you have to pay for it or not..mine was handed to me by my director to "HELP ME" with policy revisions. They are a good start if you don't have something already in place. I found I couldn't use a lot of them, or found they were a bit short.

Basically you have to have a policy for everything you do on the unit. I am in a small community hospital (1000 deliveries/yr) and my P&P manual is big enough to use as a step stool. Constantly updating ( my current task).
