Hello!
I know there are a bunch of topics already like this, but they're kind of out dated so I figured I'd start a new one. I just submitted my application to Lawrence Memorial School of Nursing yesterday and I am so nervous! I know it's going to take a few months for them to get back to me, but I was wondering if anyone could give me any insight on what they're looking for in applicants? The more I do my research on who gets accepted into this program the more I'm starting to think there's a good chance I'll get rejected. Google is also saying they have a 33% acceptance rate so they seem pretty competitive.
I'm a recent high-school graduate so that's the transcript I submitted with my application. My overall GPA was a 3.4 on a 4.0 scale so I did fairly well, but I didn't do the best in my science courses:sorry:. In Physics I got a 75, in Biology I got a 87, and in Honors Chemistry I got a 76. This is what I think is holding me back from being a qualified candidate for their nursing program. I got A's in all my math courses though and I was an AP/Honor student in my English and History courses (not that they're nursing related but still). I'll be starting classes at the local community college in the spring in order to save money on some pre-requisites.
Anyway, if someone has any insight or advice for me please share!
P.S. - Feel free to recommend any nursing programs in MA.
