Hi everyone,
Would I still be considered into the program if I retook all the courses a second time? I was depressed for a long time and I shouldn’t have been in school but I managed to pull my grades up on my second try.
ENGL 1127 - B+ BIOL 1190 - A-
STAT 1124 - A
Then I’m retaking BIOL 1191 and ENGL 1130 for the first time since I only got a B for ENGL 1129

I've recently started retake most of my courses and I can't see why you wouldn't be considered. I know that if someone has the same GPA as you but hasn't retaken any courses they will pick the other person, but I don't think it completely would disqualify you from the program. I think you would be waitlisted but not rejected. The applied for Fall 2022 with a 3.16 GPA but got rejected. I applied again for the Spring 2023 semester with a 3.35 GPA which still isn't great so I'm retaking another course throughout the Summer. I say apply again and best of luck!

Sorry I went to edit my reply and it won't let me edit it again to fix it!

The nursing advisor calculated my CGPA and I got a 3.8 after retaking the courses for the second time. Hopefully I can get in for Spring. Good luck to you too!

I think you have a great chance! 3.8 is a really good GPA. I hope I’m calculating mine right? nobody at Langara ever wants to calculate it for me.

Thanks, I hope so! You should set up a phone appointment with a nursing advisor. They calculate it for you before they call. Or I could help you

Hey! I was just wondering how you can book an appointment with a nursing advisor for your GPA? I called Registrar’s once and they made me do it myself so I’m not sure if it’s accurate ?

Are you guys calculating your GPA for all courses taken or just the courses that count as pre-requisites?
I know that Langara's application is submitted through your education planner, but there's no option to specify the courses on your transcript that you're using...Let's say I have two of the stats classes that are pre-requisites and one of them I did well in, the other I didn't do as great...would the institution look at both courses?
