La Salle ACHIEVE Fall 2014!

Hi all! Will anyone else be starting the ACHIEVE program at La Salle in the fall? I just received notification of my admittance and am gearing up to relocate to Philly. Super relieved that the application/interview process is over!

Thank you!! I actually do have a question that I've been unable to have answered by anyone in administrative services - are achieve students eligible for the student health insurance offered at La Salle? I will only be working part-time during the program and won't be able to get health insurance from my employer. Thanks! And congratulations on graduating!

kayfactor, I received an e-mail about a week ago from one of the directors of the program. She said a formal letter would be in the mail soon. I got an overall score of 131 on the NLN and my percentile scores were 92, 67, and 91 for verbal, math, and science, respectively.

Ashleyas, I don't think that we were eligible for the health insurance that La Salle offered since we were not full-time. Most of the things, like the Student Health Clinic, were not available to use because of that.

Thanks for your reply. A couple of people told me that undergrads taking more than 3 credits are eligible, but now I'm not so sure. Guess I'll have to do a little more investigating.

Ashley, here is a link that I found. You would not be eligible according to the criteria that are listed. :-( Health Insurance | Student Health Center In my time at La Salle, I can honestly say that while the Achieve program was pretty decent, the school itself definitely made the evening students aware just how little that they meant to the school. Day students had preferential treatment without a doubt.
