LA Pierce College ADN Spring 2023

Hi all, 

I did not see that their was a forum already open for the Spring 2023 application period. I wanted to start one so that we can help each other out and answer any questions anyone that is applying for the first time that they may have. Prior to COVID I had attended an in-person info session but I have not known of them having any Zoom info sessions since then due to COVID. 

This will be my second time applying. I first applied for Fall 2022.

Hi, Have you submitted your official transcripts to the school? and if so, are we able to send them electronically? I wasn’t sure if to send the transcripts to admissions or directly to the nursing department.

@LOLA126 If you attended LACCD colleges you need to request a copy of the official transcripts to be mailed to you directly. Once you receive keep them sealed and then you will mail them directly to the Nursing department. I learned this last application session you cannot request those to be send to another LACCD College electronically they will cancel your order.

I know that regardless if the admissions department has your official transcripts from colleges outside of LACCD they still want an official copy to be mailed to them at the nursing department.

 

I submitted mine last application to the nursing department however, I have not heard back from them regarding me having to mail out another set of official transcripts.

@LOLA126   Just a quick update. I finally received a response back from LAPC. They informed me that I do not need to re-send my official transcripts.

Woah! Thank you so much for the info. Does this mean that we have to send official transcripts from outside LACCD to both Admissions & Records and the Nursing Department? I saw on the online application that they also want us to upload unofficial transcripts with the application, so I was a little confused since in Nursing Dept. webpage they say they want official transcripts. I emailed them a week ago, but I still have not received a response back.

I have requested from LAVC and they sent it electronically... it depends on the school :)

Hi everyone,

 

how do we know if we were qualified?  Also I sent my transcripts via parchment it states it was delivered but I haven't gotten  confirmation that my application was complete or anything...

We should be hearing from them in the next couple of weeks or so if your application is considered incomplete. . Also make sure you sent your TEAS scores via ATI otherwise it is considered incomplete. They never stated this on their last application and I didn’t send mine however, they let me send it after.

I thought TEAS results were too be asked for only if our application was considered? I’m so anxious. Do you guys know how long before we can hear from them?

No, they will consider your application incomplete if they are not received by the time they are reviewing your application. Last application period they let ppl send them in after however, I am not sure if that's the case this application period since it is stated that you need to send them. We should hear from them around November I believe. not 100% sure. They tend to send the acceptance letters first and a month or so later the "sorry not selected" email after.
