I was wondering if anyone has insight into the L&D departments of Resurrection Medical Center, St. Mary's or St. Joseph's. I am interviewing at all three and am having a tough time deciding which offer to accept if presented. Has anyone worked in any of these units and have some thoughts they would be willing to share? Thanks!

I never worked at one...but i have comments to share that may unfairly pursuade you due to the actual lack of information i have....anyways....
My friend gave birth at St joes. Good experience... she picked that hospital over northwestern and rush.
The big Res is having issues now with infection control. And i was born there. Thats about all I know. heh...
I personally do not like st mary's/ st elizabeth in general. I have been to st. elizabeths for 2 different clinicals...one gero, one peds. The buldings are older......
Good luck in finding what you want! I will also be working for a res hospital in the future.
Thanks for your reply. Any input is always welcome. I'm personally leaning towards St. Joe's. Got a really good vibe from the staff there. Is there any particular reason you didn't like St. Mary's? They're doing a lot of renovations and the Family Birthplace is brand new. They haven't finished putting up wallpaper yet. But the impression I got was not as positive as the other places. Thanks!
