Keeping up nursing skills

Hi all,

not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, but I have been out of the nursing workforce for going on 4 years now, working as a police officer (as the name implies). I have an active nursing license, and I would like to keep up some of my nursing skills. I have a background in mostly critical care (CCRN), with some Med surg and PACU as well.

What would be a good and economical way to keep my skills fresh? Should I go to a staffing agency? Are there volunteer opportunities?
