Hello everyone, I have 2 questions. I am gearing up to study for my NCLEX RN, I am planning on using Kaplan do you recommend taking Kaplan before I start studying or after I have study the material?
Also how did you guys start studying for the NCLEX?
Thanks in advance for the response.

Hi. I started studying the first day I started Kaplan and took the course over a month...So I went to class on weekends and had the whole week to study...Just remember there is too much content...just review the things you had trouble with in nursing school. The rest of the knowledge lies within you! GOOD LUCK...Keep us posted :)

I totally agree with Clara. My kaplan course started 2 weeks after I graduated and I didn't look or think about studying until that time. It's impossible to study every bit of material, so what I did was make sure I knew the content that was frequently asked by kaplan (crutch walking, antibiotics, ICP, trach care, etc) and went over stuff that I didn't feel comfortable with. You will really be amazed at how much information you learn just by reading the rationales. If I were you, I would focus the majority of my time doing questions and reading the rationales rather than sitting in front of a book studying. GOOD LUCK!
Thanks thats what I was planning on doing.
