Kaiser Hiring in Northern California

U.S.A. California

I recently applied to a couple positions posted by Kaiser in the Bay Area. Within a week or two, I received a call and email from recruiter stating they wanted to set up an interview. In the email, there was link to another generic Kaiser job posting that the recruiter wanted to me to apply to. Upon further examination, I noticed the recruiter did not work directly for Kaiser, although there were Kaiser icons all over the email, rather the recruiter was from an agency. Has anyone had this experience? Is this a legitimate pathway to get hired on at Kaiser? If I was hired this way, am I an employee of the agency or of Kaiser? Thanks for any insight you can provide.

I applied for a couple positions in the bay area also, in Feb. I was contacted by a recruiter in the same manner, the emails make it look like they are from Kaiser directly but the return address is a travel company. I was told by him that Kaiser is using the methods they use for travellers to screen new employees. I did not have to apply to another job linked in any email though. So far I had a fairly casual brief phone interview, took a med test online, took a recorded voice interview partly online and partly via the Internet. All of this has been fairly painless. However, I am frustrated because the actual interview with the hiring manager keeps getting pushed back and the format changed. First it was going to be a panel interview at a to be determined location, then its a one on one interview but no other details. The timing has been pushed back several times and last I heard, on April 15, was that possibly it may happen the second week of May. I am trying to be patient because I really want this job and several friends of mine say it takes forever to get hired at Kaiser.
