Hi all! I am working on getting my RN after about 18 years as an LPN. I just took the NLN-RN entrance exam today which is required by my school before being formally admitted into the accelerated LPN to RN program. I scored in the 96th percentile :w00t:! I was so nervous and am so excited that I scored well. This will definitely go a long way towards helping me get admitted into the program. Just wanted to share my news!

Congrats! I am getting ready to take mine in a couple weeks. What things do I need to concentrate on? Fundementals? Med-surg? Is it NCLEX style?
Hi LissyLPN! It is broken down into reading or verbal, math, and science sections. It is really hard to say what to study specifically because it covers a lot of topics in each area. I got the NLN Review Guide for RN Pre-Entrance Exam, 3rd Edition (2009) ISBN-13: 9780763762711 and it helped somewhat. It is actually more like the SAT's in format. There are also some practice tests on each area available on-line that may be helpful. I am glad I waited to take the test until I had finished most of my prereq's for the RN program or I'm not sure I would have done as well. Hope this helps and good luck to you!
