I am starting LPN school at 44 years old. Classes start July 8 and now that it is so close-reality is hitting and I am so nervous!
Mostly I am excited but then I really think about it and feel like throwing up!
Am I really going to be able to do this??? I am not dumb by any means but it has been years since I have had to study and memorize anything.
Clinicals make me very nervous since I always seem to fumble when I know I am being watched.
Any tips or advice to ease my nervousness??
Thank you!

Not sure if it'll help but i'm sure you wont be the only one in your class nervous for whatever reason. Your instructors already know you re going to be nervous, part of your training is going to be about getting over that hurdle getting so familiar with fundamentals, processes that you wont care whos watching :) the nervousness will wear off as you get more confident, as you build memory. wasnt nervous about touching patients when i first started lpn school with no healthcare background. Was more nervous when i found out my patient is/was a nurse :)))
You have an advantage in your hha/cna background: you re familiar with pt care, so it wont be a cold splash of water, no rainbows and unicorns to disabuse you of.
You'll do great, and enjoy the journey! And ask about everything!!!

"Nothing is Impossible."
I bet You can do it well!!!
I was a most dumb student who always got lowest grades in almost of every courses during the Nursing school.
After hardly graduated, I took a 3 lvn tests which means I failed 2 times, and passed at 3rd time.
Just Don't give Up!
Good Luck and Enjoy all the School Programs!!!
