Jump start

Hello everyone I start my lpn course in January and I was wondering if you guys had any tips, or any suggestions on what I should start looking over now , or what I should invest in to a jump start? All suggestions are appreciated, thank you all!

Go in with an open mind and you will be fine. Don't over think!!!! It's fast paced so use what works for you everybody learns different so learn to your own understanding. Good luck future nurse!!!

Be ready to give up a lot of free time. U won't be able to keep a clean house or be caught up on laundry. Also ready and study as much as u can before the program. And try to have some fun while u can! I graduate this December! It's been crazy lol

Start learning now!

Read your fundamentals and do the questions at end of chapters

Learn the Nursing process and how to apply

Learn your PHARM! I've got a great resource for pharm if wanted!

Get your health calc/drug dosage down pat. Dimensional Analysis is easiest! Can help with that too!

Know lab values and acid/base

Make drug cards

Review a&p

Learn ABG and health assesment

Utilize YOUTUBE and look up everything you can and LEARN!

Create a day planner and color code it to each class.

Learn the NCLEX question process

When D day comes...rewrite important notes, terms, key facts to retain! Use Mnemonics! Buy books on amazon.com!:nurse:
