Hi! :)
I'm an incoming senior in high school and I have recently discovered my calling to be a navy nurse. I have an uncle who is in the air force and knows a lot about the navy but I still have tons of curiosity and questions. I'm applying for the NROTC scholarship this fall but it's the after college part that has me bewildered. In my career I want to do releif work and also serve in a combat area.I don't want to be stationed at a hospital in the u.s. I want to be where the happening and challenges are. I really want to do something with my life and save others. But I know that they will station you wherever they need you. I have heard around the web that navy nurses don't get stationed near the line. Is this true? I'm so very eager to start my career and even more, to serve my country. I need all the information I can get even if I didn't ask it in this thread. Step by step information on military nursing life after college would be appreciated. And also, what is the physical training like? I've played all the sports since I could walk and I'm curious on how challenging the physical part is. Personal experiences, good and bad, would be amazing too!! And please only military personal only! Thank you!! :)
