Jobs for Nurse Midwives in Ga

Where are the best areas to get a job as a nurse midwife in GA? Are nurse midwives regularly used in GA? I'm interested in becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife one day but I know I don't want to leave the GA area. Before I put so much time and money into school I want to make sure I would have a job.

That's what I was thinking too, but I didn't know for sure. I wouldn't even know where to begin trying to get a job because I've looked at lots of hospitals in the Atlanta area and I didn't see them asking for Nurse Midwives when I looked at the careers. Do you know if you would apply through a clinic or doctors office and work in the hospitals as well or just apply through the hospital? I'm just curious because I'm seriously considering becoming a Nurse Midwife and possibly moving to the Atlanta area.

You would get a job with a private practice, and then deliver at the hospital they have privileges at. Check Kaiser Permanente...
