Honestly, I'd say if you haven't already started building relationships with hospitals by now, you'd better get started. Do you tech now? Do you work in a hospital now? I can't imagine not working in a hospital before I graduated (but that is just me). I work full time as PCT and go to nursing school full time. Let me know what happens with you>

Mike, we spoke to a nurse recruiter at Baptist and she suggested that we start applying two months before we graduate. She said not to apply sooner than that because your application and resume will be filed away with the other 200 she receives from FCCJ and the other schools in the surrounding area. She said to make sure and complete the entire application online because, even if you submit a resume, they want to view the actual application. Then she said to make sure and stay in contact with them. She said the person that bugs her is the one who gets the job. I don't know if this is the right time frame for all the hospitals, but as far as Baptist goes, this is what she suggested.

In the mean time, you could always apply for a tech position which will help secure a nursing position when you graduate... St. V has job fairs for their new hospital now and I know a few of the other hospitals are hiring.

Thanks for the update. I am holding off on a tech position. I can't afford the pay cut just yet. I have some great contacts at some of the hospitals so I am hoping that will help out when the time comes.
